A school without a school library?
In Holland / The Netherlands we can hardly imagine that something like that is even possible. Because a school library makes children hungry for knowledge and even more knowledge. Especially when the library is integrated in the lessons and students can use the available material in an independent and motivated manner. At this point in time, a library in most Kenyan schools only includes a bookcase, if even that.
The concept of the ABC-project states that the library should be a part of the whole school-organization.
Foundation The ABC-project motivates, supports and attends primary schools with developing school libraries and communal open-learning-centers in Kenya. We find this very important.
